You may or may not be surprised to know that there are 1.8 billion (yes, billion with a B) active daily users on Facebook. If you have a brand, you’re going to be wondering how you can make the most of that number. The answer is with a Facebook Business Page.
But what is a Facebook Business Page, and how can it help your brand? Great questions. You can use a Facebook Business Page to promote your brand, sell your products, and learn about and communicate with your audience – all of which is incredibly valuable when it comes to growth. These features aren’t available on a standard Facebook account, so you’ll need to specifically create a Facebook Business Page. Don’t worry, it’s free!
You can even link your Contrado Store to your Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote your products; follow our tutorial to do so here.
Features of a Facebook Business Page
Give Customers All the Info
When you set up a Facebook Business Page, one of the first (and most important) things you can do is list all the basic information about your brand. Add your location, a summary of your business, and contact details so customers can get in touch with you. This is an opportunity to make an impression on potential customers and give them the need-to-know-info about your brand.
You can also turn on page messaging and let people use Messenger to get in touch with you. If they have a question about your art or products, they’ll be able to ask you directly instead of having to fill out a form on your website. Easy access and familiarity are always great for user experience!
Set Up a Shop
If you have products to sell, you can do it right on your Facebook Business Page. The Commerce Manager is arguably one of the best Facebook features because it enables you to keep an updated catalogue of products. If you have physical products, then customers can purchase directly through your Facebook shop. Otherwise, you can use Commerce Manager to catalogue your products and direct traffic to your website.
As your brand grows, you can update and add more products to your store. And of course, you can promote them right on Facebook.
Schedule Ahead
In your Business Suite, you’ll be able to schedule posts ahead of time. This includes Instagram posts as well! If you know that you want to make a post at a certain time, you don’t have to wait until then to create it. You can schedule as many posts as you want in advance, and they’ll automatically be sent out at the time you select.
This gives you tons of freedom and saves you from accidentally forgetting to send out a post. Plus, if you’re treating yourself to a little vacation, your brand’s page doesn’t have to go off the grid as well.
Boost Your Posts
If you have a bit of money to spend, you can boost your Facebook posts. When you make any organic post on your page, you’ll have the option to boost it. Set a daily budget and Facebook will boost your post to a larger audience within parameters that you set.
In addition to setting a budget and target audience, you’ll be able to choose how long you want the post to be boosted for. Facebook will give you an estimate of how many people will see the post, and you’ll be able to see how the post performs after it’s been boosted.
Get Audience Insights
Knowing your audience is key to having a successful brand. If you don’t know your audience, how can you sell to them? Facebook will give you insights including the age and gender breakdown, as well as geographic information about your audience. You can tailor your content based on this information to better relate to potential customers.
You’ll get insights about your page and content as well. Facebook will show you which posts are performing the best, which tells you what your audience likes to see. If they’re interacting with certain types of posts more than others, then this will inform your content moving forward. For example, if you’re getting more engagement on a post about introducing a new product, then you might continue to promote that product or other new products in the future. Likewise, if your audience is ignoring posts that focus on links, you might try to cut down.
Connect Your Contrado Store
This is by no means an exhaustive list of Facebook’s Business Page features, but it should give you an idea of how having a page can help your brand. Instead of asking what is a Facebook Business page, you can start creating one.
We might be biased, but our favorite benefit is being able to integrate your Contrado store with Facebook and Instagram. Design hundreds of products and keep your customers up-to-date with all of them. It’s a smooth process that gives you tons of creative freedom and the opportunity to turn a profit.
